Credits are reserved when a job starts and released back to your balance automatically if it fails, times out or you cancel it. You are never charged for a failed job.

Give it a few minutes — some jobs take longer than others. If it stays stuck, you can cancel it from the project (which returns your credits) and try again, or contact support with the project name.
